Music video for the song "The Gift" by Four Trips Ahead.
I shot this video in the band's rehearsal studio with a little one chip Sony handicam. The original intent was to just do some video storyboarding for a video we shot afterward for their song "A Moment," but when I started reviewing the footage I thought it looked cool enough to put together a video in itself for another one of their songs.
Suffice to say I admit that the lighting design is not as well put together as would have been had I planned an actual video shoot, but I'm pretty proud of what I put together regardless. Just wanted to get comments from my peers on what they think, considering the lack of production resources used on set.
Enjoy!

I definitely hear what you're saying with the lip sync. Unfortunately this was about the best I could do with the lip sync. When I filmed their rehearsal I got a lot of my singer footage while they were playing "A Moment" (the song that we were prepping for a video on) and used the rest of the rehearsal focusing on the rest of the band.
The result was that when I decided to put together a little practice promo piece for this song, I barely had any footage of the singer actually singing it. So I faked it as best as possible. Either way thanks for checking it out and commenting.
for my two bob: more footage you could use to sync/no un-sync footage would improve it - I think bad lip sync immediately unhinges everything. I think it's hard to make a set-up like this look less generic too. But you got round everyone, showed us all what they look like, so it does that job, which is enough sometimes. Thanks for posting.
