It was a pretty cute idea, but it didn't ever really jump off the screen. I feel like the punchline was too little too late... Something a little more absurdist would have been sweet. Yachts falling on people is pretty funny to me.

Also, why not find some friend with a band and use the footage for their official video instead of having an unofficial video? I'm not ripping the choice, it's just not the same one I would make and I wonder why you went that route.

To answer your question, the reason I went with this song is just that I loved the way it worked with the images.But you are absolutely right that making this an official video for another song would make more sense. Honestly, I just got kind of obsessessed with this song (and with one other--I actually cut another version of this video with a Project Jenny Project Jan track, and went back and forth as to which I liked better.)

I really can't defend that choice rationally.
