Chorrr Blimey! What a wonderful piece of work.
Its always a pleasure to see something so seemingly simple that actually, on further thought, technically baffles me to pieces.
congrats Sophie!
Mikey Please
This video really inspires me. I can watch this again and again. Beautiful.
And just to share...
Every time I see a piece like this it just reinforces for me that VFX is King right now in film making. I remember when After Effects, Photoshop, Flash, and the precursors to all these VFX softwares emerged. I was in art school messing around with all this stuff while everyone else was painting and enjoying giving naked performances. After college I really got into cinematography and focused mostly on that. When I see such creative applications of vision like this video I feel like I should've stuck with the digital media art back in the day.
I still diddle around with AE, Photoshop, Flash and the like but I'm nowhere as accomplished technically. I guess the best I can do is try to follow in Michel Gondry's footsteps with on camera illusions. (^_^) heh
