Hey everyone, just thought i would let people know that the new video i directed for London metallers The Defiled and their song The Resurrectionists is currently featured on the myspace homepage.... at least it is in the UK, i guess not in other places. Anyway, have a peek and perhaps you will like it. (maybe not for the squeamish)

Hi everyone!
I was the featured artist yesterday on artistaday.com. You can take a look at the feature and my work at http://www.artistaday.com/?p=5763
The video they have linked to on the site is an animated music video I completed as a final project for my MA in Digital Film & Animation.
If you like what you see pls vote :)
Thx!
After 2 years our remix video for Mark Ronson has hit the 3 million view count on YouTube...
...If only we received a pound for every play!
Hi everyone,
I thought I post a quick note to introduce myself.
I am a freelance stopframe animator based in Edinburgh, Scotland. I have directed a couple of animated short films but have worked mostly as an animator on other peoples films. I am completely new to the world of music videos but would love to get the chance to give it a go.
I like animation that has a style to it. I like simplicity in the visuals as well. I always looked at music videos and commercials as a perfect canvass to explore and learn whats possible, and to try different things out of your comfort zone.
Guys help me to make it in the first three of Shooting People Film of the month competition

Hey Everyone,
I'm shooting a music video and the band asked for an effect, where the performance somehow looks choppy/accelarated/zombie-like but pretty much is insync with the song. You can see the effect in this video (http://vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=vids.individual&VideoID=34617222) from 01:58 min. I think it's a pretty common effect, used in some Missy Elliot videos, too.
Does anyone know how to achieve the effect? Any help would be so much appreiciated.
Best regards,
Simon
Everything you wanted to know about sync sound playback (but were afraid to ask)
Hi, I'm Pat Whelan & I run Mr Timecode. I author timecoded audio files for use when filming sync, typically for music promos & commercials. As well as being a fan of, I’m also partnered with RadarMusicVideos.
I thought Radar users might appreciate a little ‘how to’ on sync sound playback as there's sometimes a little confusion about what needs to be done when filming sync, especially when filming at different frame rates.
Just thought i'd write a blog here to introduce myself and hopefully inspire some back and forth with other director's etc
I'm 26 and a freelancer based in Liverpool; i've directed two commissioned music videos and two commissioned and developed short films for the uk flm council and i am desperately trying to move from the corporate/ community art world into the music video production world; I think that music videos, although take a lot of flack, are generally where a lot of the most creative and definitely the nicest imagery comes from in the UK.
People often ask for advice on treatments. I came across this a while ago - Keith Scholfield makes great videos and has also archived his treatments, available for all to see. How generous and generally fantastic of him. Have a look here http://keithschofield.com/treatments/
