The legendary Dougal Wilson shares his thoughts and advice on pitching, writing treatments, getting work, having a style. The three Ps. The importance of T.

This interview was recorded in Jan 2007, back when www.RadarMusicVideos.com was The Radar Festival and we had our first ever event at the Apple store on Regent Street. It was Apple's first video event too, packed out and good fun.

Although I've been on Twitter for a while (thanks to a tip from a Radar member) I only got into it once I learned my way around, installed Tweetdeck, found people I like following. Most of my own friends aren't on Twitter yet and I've been emailing them the starting tips I’ve picked up. Those emails grew into this blog post. Seeing as I'm interested in music tech and music videos, it's a guide with a slant toward musicians and music video directors.

What can Twitter do for you?…

Like most slow cooked food, I think this tastes better if you make it the day before. Cook the evening before your shoot and give your back brain some time to unwind while you stir. I cook it when there’s a family gathering on the horizon.

The veggie version works nicely too. Serve with hunks of bread or cook up a big pan of rice on the day – it’s not good to keep cooked rice. The all-important secret ingredients are the lemon and smoked paprika. Off we go:

Ingredients: quantities are for 4 people.
4 rindless rashers smoked streaky bacon OR meat-free bacon
3 tablespoons vegetable oil
