First thing's first. While it may look like this is a 3-camera shoot, it's just 2 cameras.
This was my first (official) live filming and commision and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
At first I just read briefs as they came up, not really thinking of applying for any.
Just thought of the site to be a great idea so I followed the happenings on it.
But when I read the brief for this one, I had an idea that I wanted to try, and if the idea was liked, well, maybe I could actually do it.
1) Great News! Someone finally gave me a reason to watch the Take On Me video 6 dozen more times. This has been making its rounds on Our Lovely Internet, so maybe you've seen it already. There's also one for Head Over Heels. It has its moments, but nothing quite so epic as the phrase 'ass-full of pipe-wrench'.
2) Work has been picking up in Tokyo, mostly in anticipation of the Halloween weekend. There are a bunch of parties, parades, and costume contests and we'll be covering as many as we can fit in our schedule. Halloween is, truth be told, my favorite holiday.

A friend of mine just introduced me to this clip. It amped me up pretty bad, so I thought I would share it. Steven Hawking is one of my heroes. So, to see him in it made me really really happy. Had they access, I imagine they would have invited my other big hero, Abraham Lincoln. But, I guess the timing just wasn't right on this production.

Tomorrow we're shooting a new video for an easy-going love song with a touch of electro . It's partly live action, partly animation.
My last few weeks in London were extremely tough, to the point of nervous breakdown. Quite literally every project I was working on (and at the high point, it was about five at once) went wrong in some way, and I personally lost a fairly hefty amount of money on two videos going over budget. I don't really want to talk about it, because it would involve me saying things that might hurt other people's feelings.
