Mélodie en sous-sol was founded in 2007 as a fusion studio project by Italian and Moroccan musicians. The original concept consisted of creating a beat and/or a bass line for adding improvised accompaniment, melodies and words. Mélodie en sous-sol is chosen as the group's name because the studio was installed in the basement of a small house in south Morocco and their personal preference for the film Noir.

LIVE MEDIA PRIZE € 8,000
Media include: a live audio/video performance, DJ/VJ Set, use of any form of software, including the use of generative softwares. Live performances can either be projected on screens (see webpage with details on projection setup provided by Celeste Prize) or as a media performance in a space which does not exceed 10x10 metres. Duration of performances max 30 minutes.
Fingered is Washington, D.C.-born, Brooklyn-based artist, Harrison Owen. Mr. Owen started Fingered Media, Inc at the beginning of 2006 to release the video magazine, Fingered Dvdzine, as well as to assist and collaborate with other artists and musicians on video projects in an effort to help build a positive, progressive, and community-based culture.
